How to Relax

Before you try to emulate these pictures, we need to advise you that The Thundering Herd is a professional group of Siberians.  It takes years of training in order to perfect the events that you see depicted below.  So go slowly, pace yourself, and don’t be surprised if you can not quite achieve these stupendous actions on your early attempts.

After hiking throughout the day during one of our S-RV adventures, we retire back to the camp ground on our picket line, have a little water, a little dinner, and then work at relaxing despite the noise that constantly exists.  Little kids may be on their bicycles, campfires may be built, people may be walking by, but we can still exhibit the professionalism that is so necessary in a relaxing “working” dog.

First up, is a very weak attempt by the boys.  Kodiak seems to have things pretty well mastered in the background, but both Rusty and Qannik are still much too alert.

From there, we can see that Kiska can show the proper level of relaxation despite the pebble surface that she is on.

Cheoah is demonstrating that even the young dogs can exhibit an upmost dedication to the task at hand.

But, of course, we save Natasha for last, demonstrating the finest form.

Good thing we were not overrun with intruders in our campsite, huh?

My husband and I are constantly commenting that we wish that we were the talented relaxers that our dogs are! I see that your dogs have the same talent – even in a campground. That’s impressive.

They really know how to relax! 🙂 I’m surprised that Rusty and Qannik are not passed out too!

We do quite well in the relaxation department, especially with the icky sticky weather that is here now. So when the Queen is asleep, do her subjects play?

You seem to have mastered this though I’m not sure since I rarely lay down outside.

Wings of Doom
