So Sweet, So Wild

Cheoah, our smallest Siberian, can put on the charm when she wants to, as evidenced by these pictures from this weekend’s camping excursion:

But don’t let that innocence fool you.  She can have a lot of fun when she decides to.  After we got home last night, we let The Herd out into the back yard for about 15 minutes before we took off for dinner.  Normally, when Cheoah is outside, we secure the water bucket (a 5 gallon bucket that is filled with fresh water twice a day).  But, figuring she only had a few minutes, we made the fateful decision to leave it out there.

You see, Cheoah likes to play in the water.  She submerges her head and blows bubbles.  She gets both front legs in and splashes water on her belly.  She, in general, lives up to the Cherokee interpretation of her name – Otter.  See for yourselves:

Yes, that would be water standing in the dog room.  The rest of the Herd had water on the bottom of their paws, but Cheoah was literally dripping wet.  In 15 minutes.  Needless to say, we were late for dinner.  Sigh.

Cheoah, we could have so much fun! I love to play in my water bowl too. Sometimes I give my toys a bath and sometimes I dig in my bowl and sometimes I just put my face in it. I totally understand!

And she has such a happy face about it!! 🙂

Waldo does the same thing–only with MUD. Want to talk about a mess?

Cheoah, you are so funny! Maybe we can see a video of you playing in water one day? 🙂

I’m the total opposite of you! I only drink water and will tolerate rain if I have to. Try to get me near a hose, pool, or bathtub and I’ll scratch everything and everyone in sight!

My great-sister Maxine used to do that too! She LOVED water!

You are my kind of red headed lady. I love to blow bubbles. John will put an ice cube into my water bowl and go down to pluck it and blow bubbles when I do it. Then I pull it out and kill all the water off of it. Makes a big splash and mess. I love water. I should do a post on all of the ways I love water.

    Hmmm,
