Walking Wednesday – Mt Pisgah

Mt Pisgah

We want to go up there.  Yep, from here.  First spring-like weekend of the year and the roads were open to get to one of our summer hiking trails, so we took advantage.  We have shown you panoramic views from the top a couple of times before – if you want to see them, check out the late summer shot here and fall foliage view here.

So in trying to get a video going up the “steps” part of the trail, we forget that the humans have a disadvantage in that they are on two feet rather than four sturdy paws.  As a result, the video has a very Blair Witch Project feel to it.  Sorry about that.

Right after we finished that stretch of the trail, Cheoah expressed how hot it was getting compared to our snows of a week ago:

But, finally, we got to the top.  Usually, this is crowded with other hikers, but we had the observation deck all to ourselves, so took many pictures:

What a good time you all had! We are furry sorry to hear that spring has sprung at your place – no more snow! At my Nanny and Papa’s house, the snow is almost gone, but at Roomie’s house (across town, like twenty minutes away), it still looks like the middle of winter! Gotta love a river valley!

Your dad did a good job getting up there. Our mom would have never made it. She’s super clumsy. I like all your pictures from the top!

What a great hike! That looks like so much fun! My mom would not be able to video that hike…she can’t even take a video of our walks. 🙂

Great hike! If we ever make it to the east coast, we’ll have to stop by and have you give us a tour.

Wow, that was great – the only time we got a little woozy was when you switched from the dogs to the trees:-)

Poor Cheoah – sure looks pooped. If Mom didn’t know better, she could have sworn woo pupnapped Dakota for the walk.

Woo guys always seem to walk in color coordinated trios. Do any of woo NOT like to be the fill in the sandwich. Dakota does everything she can NOT to be in the middle.

Now, the question of the day – when do we get to see the trek back down?
