We have a long-standing decree here at Chez Herd that no dogs shall be in the kitchen during meal preparations. We are, of course, Siberian Huskies, so we have a long-standing policy to ignore silly human edicts, so we give you a photograph of Roscoe listening to Hu-Dad explain the rule… again.

Nice long summer days give us plenty of daylight for yard time. Wrestling matches between the bestest buddies ever coupled with plenty of sunshine snoozing in the grass makes for perfect afternoons. So, yes, that results in one giant grin from Roscoe P.

Our daily posts require a short story and a cooperative canine model. Roscoe volunteered and posed in the grass, but then had a little distraction. Sorry, but he found the insect far more interesting than smiling at the camera.

Somewhere under all that fur, Roscoe wears a watch. At least, Hu-Dad thinks so. After all, Roscoe is great at knowing when it is time for something. Hu-Dad knows if he is the recipient of this stare, he’s late for something. Or, at least, Roscoe thinks he’s late and that’s all that matters.

We Siberian Huskies have a wee bit of fur. Twice a year, we “blow coat,” a furry explosion of fun. We take turns so Hu-Dad gets near year-round fun. Since our games tend to be a full contact sport, the fur can often literally fly. Roscoe and Typhoon had fun in the yard today, which you might have noticed, but Roscoe reminds Hu-Dad that all is hair in Siberian games.
