Boom Boom Launch

June 23, 2023 |

With all the rain we’ve had this week, we haven’t been able to get outside nearly as much as we would like. Or as much as we need, according to Hu-Dad. In a break between showers yesterday, though, we had a few minutes of racing about the yard, so Boom Boom got to Boom Boom.

Weather Sibe Predictions

June 22, 2023 |

We know many of you are dealing with extremely hot weather, but we’re in the midst of a cool, rainy week. Every walk has ensured Hu-Dad gets to enjoy the aroma of wet Sibe when we get back to his study. When we were getting ready to go out for the afternoon stroll, Landon took one sniff and assured us more rain was coming. He was right.

When You’re This Suave…

June 20, 2023 |

Nothing much flusters our Mr. Frankie. His little brothers were tearing about the yard wreaking havoc. A series of thunderstorms threatened to drop rain on us. A comfy bed and air conditioning were just beyond that closed door. And the human wanted a photograph. Frankie Suave for the pose.

Close Kitchen Supervision

June 18, 2023 |

We have a long-standing decree here at Chez Herd that no dogs shall be in the kitchen during meal preparations. We are, of course, Siberian Huskies, so we have a long-standing policy to ignore silly human edicts, so we give you a photograph of Roscoe listening to Hu-Dad explain the rule… again.

June 17, 2023 |

Nice long summer days give us plenty of daylight for yard time. Wrestling matches between the bestest buddies ever coupled with plenty of sunshine snoozing in the grass makes for perfect afternoons. So, yes, that results in one giant grin from Roscoe P.

Post Malfunction Caused By A Bug

June 16, 2023 |

Our daily posts require a short story and a cooperative canine model. Roscoe volunteered and posed in the grass, but then had a little distraction. Sorry, but he found the insect far more interesting than smiling at the camera.

A sunny afternoon and a thick bed of grass call out for some canine napping. Hu-Dad thought he would take his camera outside to capture a few photos of weird Typhoon sleeping positions, but the Little Prince is on to him. What we have here is a Siberian stand-off.

The Moment It Begins

June 13, 2023 |

Roscoe and Typhoon explored opposite corners of the yard, so hadn’t seen each other in at least five, six minutes. As they both returned to the house, they encountered each other coming around the pavilion. They will momentarily delay going inside as the obligatory games erupt.

End of Busyness Day

June 11, 2023 |

Somewhere under all that fur, Roscoe wears a watch. At least, Hu-Dad thinks so. After all, Roscoe is great at knowing when it is time for something. Hu-Dad knows if he is the recipient of this stare, he’s late for something. Or, at least, Roscoe thinks he’s late and that’s all that matters.

A Hare-y Showdown

June 10, 2023 |

As we’ve mentioned many times, Typhoon has a thing for rabbits. Though he hasn’t caught one in several years, he remembers his speedy youth when many of the hare-brained creatures fell victim. So yesterday morning, when one herd met another, Typhoon and friend went into a stare-down. This scene lasted long enough for Hu-Dad to extract his phone and capture the moment just for you. No bunnies were harmed in the making of this story, much to Typhoon’s disappointment.

All Is Hair In Siberian Games

June 9, 2023 |

We Siberian Huskies have a wee bit of fur. Twice a year, we “blow coat,” a furry explosion of fun. We take turns so Hu-Dad gets near year-round fun. Since our games tend to be a full contact sport, the fur can often literally fly. Roscoe and Typhoon had fun in the yard today, which you might have noticed, but Roscoe reminds Hu-Dad that all is hair in Siberian games.
