My apologies to long time readers who have seen this video, but we were watching the stunning bravery that Dennis the Vizsla Dog was demonstrating on his blog yesterday. Â Yes, Dennis protected his family from a horrendous amphibious assault. Â In the background of the video, you can hear the terror in their voices as he ruthlessly risks himself for their defense.
For some reason, it reminded us of the same bravery demonstrated by Qannik when we were attacked by a . . . ski jacket. Â This is almost like the opening sequence to Saving Private Ryan.
Don’t we all feel safer knowing that Dennis and Qannik are protecting us?

Bravery and chivalry are NOT dead. The other day I defended my family from a hat! True story. It was sitting on a rock and I thought it was a very tiny very bad guy. I saved them all.

What I do is I bark the thunder away when it comes, but jackets, no, they have arms, nor would I want to take on a giant sea turtle who was sleeping. Thats just foolish!

At least Qannik got a few barks in! I loved it when he looked at you like, “Hey, didn’t you notice that ski jacket over there? Do something!”

I’m not sure which part cracked me up more — King Rusty on his lap throne or Qannik defending The Herd from the jacket! Hu-Dad, how did you manage to film it without even a snicker of laughter? I love seeing The Herd in action!
Great work, Dennis and Qannik. Recently, I have had to protect that mom from two so-called lamps that she allowed to infiltrate her bedroom. She was oblivious to the great danger they posed, and it took several weeks of me growling and knocking them over before she finally removed them. I expected praise for my bravery, but so far none has come from her. What’s up with that?
