Trouble Brother Games and Frankie Update

We thought we would drop in with a quick Frankie update and a few photos of the on-going Trouble Brother games continuing despite our sweltering heat. Let’s do important first and save the fun for later in our story.

Frankie Update

Frankie’s vet visit went well Thursday. The lump that swelled on his side has reduced to nearly normal. The antibiotics did their job. The infection seems to be gone.

We couldn’t do a biopsy last week because the infection might have muddled any results. This week, the vet took a sample for the labs. We will receive the results at the end of next week. Things look positive this was nothing but an infection.

The bounce returned to his prance. He’s eating well, and he celebrates the retirement of the cone of shame. And, yes, he continues to walk with us.

Unfortunately, we are only walking once a day rather than our normal twice because of the heat. While we know many of you have much higher temperatures, we are breaking into the 90s here in Asheville, which is sweltering for us.

Not that the heat has slowed the Trouble Brothers much. Fortunately, shade covers much of our backyard, so the boys have been able to play their games. Roscoe does his best to sneak up on the Little Curmudgeon, and Typhoon replies with his grumbly act that he wants to be left alone.

Since Roscoe ignores those warnings, the Prince has to stomp his feety-feet while yelling at his brother.

Minutes later, they race about the yard. Much wrestling, chasing, and bitey-face continues until our temperatures slow them. Then our well-behaved duo ask to go inside to the air conditioning and waiting water for a little recharge time.

Once rested, they resume the matches soon enough.

The good news is our extreme temperatures should break on Sunday and return us to normal late summer levels.

Stay cool.

So glad to hear the encouraging news about Frankie. Paws crossed for a negative test.

I don’t know why everyone is complaining about the heat, we are having fall=like weather. Kind of nice.
