We are mighty shedders, which creates a furry side effect in our wrestling matches, but all is hair in Siberian games.
We Siberian Huskies have a wee bit of fur. Twice a year, we “blow coat,” a furry explosion of fun. We take turns so Hu-Dad gets near year-round fun. Since our games tend to be a full contact sport, the fur can often literally fly. Roscoe and Typhoon had fun in the yard today, which you might have noticed, but Roscoe reminds Hu-Dad that all is hair in Siberian games.

Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?
October 29, 2024
Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldn’t have been much worse.
Maybe Roscoe can wrestle some of Typhoon’s husky feathers out. Frankly, I’ll take husky/malamute shedding over short-haired dogs any time.
Hahaha. Blowing coat only twice a year? Bwhaa. My current siberian seems to be lightly blowing coat year round and strongly blowing coat 2-3 times a year. Ask the vacuum cleaners that he has killed. Nonetheless, the evidence shows that fun was had by all. And, since it’s in the yard, hu-dad doesn’t have to clean it up.
Yep, same here! The HokiePack (4) seems to shed all year long. We have worn out 1 Dyson big Vac and 1 Dyson Stick. We just ordered a rack and you can attach to a vac – we shall see 🙂
Life with a Husky can be very trying!! Good thing we love the hairy beasts..
Look at that face Hu-Dad!!! You must wear out MANY MANY vacuum cleaners getting up all that “Hair”!!!
