First RV Trip Of The Season

While so many other RVer’s are beginning to think of the end of another year of camping, we are taking our first RV trip of the season.

Most RVers think of the camping season as spring through autumn, but we prefer to hang out in the cool temperatures at home in the summer and not start RVing until the fall. Though it is still fairly hot at Big Ridge State Park, we decided to get our camping season underway.

Spread out in the campsite.

Spread out in the campsite.

We were able to hang out in the campsite on the picket line for a couple of hours in the evening once the sun was behind the trees – way too hot in the afternoon. Of course, that made it dinner time in the campground so we were a little distracted.

Mmmmmm - something smells like a great dinner.

Our Chief of Security does not go off duty when we are camping. She just adjusts her perimeter to mean our campsite.

Hu-Dad said we remembered most of our camping etiquette and have behaved well in our campsite. He likes to take credit, but we know who is responsible.

We wandered past your campsite this morning and grabbed a card. Your furbabies are gorgeous! Our toddlers thought so too. The boxer wasn’t too sure haha. Have a nice time in East TN.

Thank you! Normally, we hang out in the campsite, but it is just too hot. Air conditioning in the RV for us!

Enjoy your trip! We do love the campgrounds in the “off” season. Less crowded, quieter, and the fellow campers tend to be a little more, well, respectful.

A little competition over who is alpha?

Queen Natasha says there is no competition. She sometimes just lets Hu-Dad think he is in charge.
