Everypup Pulls Their Weight

We have explained before how Qannik tries to minimize his workload, but everypup pulls their weight around Chez Herd . . . or else.

Queen Natasha on patrol.

Queen Natasha on patrol.

As the leader of The Herd, Queen Natasha leads by example by taking her turn at security detail. Chief of Security Kiska, however, makes sure that everyone else shares in the burden of security around Sibe Quentin. And that does mean everyone.

Q-Tip? When have you last patrolled?

Q-Tip? When have you last patrolled?

Qannik excels at avoiding work in any shape or form. He believes his good looks and charm should be enough. Unfortunately for the Q, Kiska insists on more and chastises him for not handling enough security details.

Wait? You expect me to get my paws dirty?

Wait? You expect me to get my paws dirty?

When the Chief of Security calls you out for not handling your fair share of work, your options are very limited. Despite all protestations, Q-Tip knows that the best choice is to get to work and shoulder the burden.

Fine. I will take a turn at sentry work so everyone pulls their weight.

Fine. I will take a turn at sentry work.

Well, at least you should make an effort to appear to be working. Qannik half-heartedly wanders out into the yard and makes his best effort at a security patrol. Unfortunately, he would probably be more effective without that look on his face highlighting his puzzlement.

Now what am I looking for?

What am I looking for?

Poor Qannki does not realize that his good looks and charm are wasted on his siblings, that only works on his two legged friends.

Did he go into semi-retirement and not notify anyone?

I have to agree with you Qannik…. Your good looks, charm, and dreamy blue eyes are all the hard work you need to master!
