Reliable Eyewitnesses Of A Misdeed

Reliable eyewitnesses are notoriously difficult to find. We think we know exactly what we saw, but our personal history interferes with our judgement.

A mugging.

A mugging.

A simple example. In the picture above, Typhoon pounced on a sweet, innocent Cheoah who was just minding her own business. What could the Cheesewhiz possibly have done to initiate such a reaction? So this is just a photo of Typhoon being Typhoon, right?

But wait!

But wait!

Knowing that we were talking about faulty eyewitnesses, how many of you assumed our second photo was going to show Cheoah provoking Typhoon into an attack? Look very carefully at the top left of that photo and you will see . . . an innocent Typhoon not even involved. That’s right, the mugger was Frankie!

Innocent! For Once! I look forward to your apologies for assuming the worst about me.

Maybe by a pound or so. He is still the world’s most picky eater.

Typhoon is such an angel. How could anyone assume the worst about that sweet boy?
