Thoughtful Gift

A package arrived yesterday and Hu-Dad said it was a present for us. Such a thoughtful gift, though we thought he really shouldn’t have.

Do I look pleased?

Do I look pleased?

Hu-Dad works from his study in the house. We often hang out with him, but certain dogs get bored and wander the house. Ok, not dogs plural, but a certain dog might have a short attention span. Amazingly, the usual result of that short attention span is mischief. Apparently, searching the house for a missing Typhoon distracts from Hu-Dad’s busyness. With a plan to solve that issue, Hu-Dad ordered us a very special present. With the package delivered, Hu-Dad installed it and asked us to test it.

Not funny, Hu-Dad. Not funny.

Not funny, Hu-Dad. Not funny.

Hu-Dad found a gate wide enough for his double door study entrance. Closing the regular doors stifled the breezes, but the gate allows the air to flow through the office. Thus, Hu-Dad is happy with the solution. However, the same happiness eluded some. In particular, a certain someone pouted quite loudly.

Pouting.

Pouting.

You do realize he’s going to try and figure out a way out…. my girl shepherd must be confined in the same way in order to avoid Havoc. I was so pleased with this extra tall gate, until she convinced her English mastiff sister to lay near the gate so she could use her as a spring board when she lept over my well planned escape stopper……how do I know she convinced her? Because the mastiff never lays in doorways and absolutely does not willingly lay on the hard wood floor….

Oh, those baleful looks from Typhoon! At least he’s not tethered.

Ah yes, have three of them with kitty gates. They do resent being banned from rooms they can see into but can’t access. Do you have a feline pack member?

Chuckling. No kitties. Can’t even imagine the havoc that would cause. Just happened to be the gates we could find.

Typhoon obviously is not happy that Hu-Dad blocked the route to mischief and is totally disgusted with being locked in the office. Curious to see how he gets even with Hu-Dad.
