Despite a very warm week up here in the mountains, Cheoah remained the only member of the Herd to take some splish splash time in the new wading pool.
Hu-Dad positioned our pool in different places to see if it would make any difference. Everyone takes the time to drink water from the pool, but only Cheoah has placed paws inside.
Cheoah’s name means Otter in Cherokee and she has always lived up to her name. She enjoys walking in creeks and rivers and enjoys the pool as well. Unfortunately, no one will join her in the pool. As this Film Friday shows, she still plays in the water solo.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
Cheoah is just a smart husky. She understands water is “liquid snow”. So while the other members of the herd lie around all summer dreaming of snowdrifts, she’s getting to enjoy a “liquid snowdrift” in her own personal “snowbank”. 🙂
She is adorable
I love your videos!!!! Cheoah you are an adorable little “swimmer”!!!!
Mom sez: Cheoah does the exact thing our Kiah used to do! Bury her head in the water, and “snorkel” She spent hours trying to dig holes in the water as well. The rest of the Herd just don’t know what they’re missing, do they, Cheoah?
