Memorial Day 2015

Here in the United States, today is Memorial Day, the day we pause and honor the men and women who have died while serving in our military. Their sacrifice gives us the freedom we have today and we are forever grateful.

The pictures we are sharing with you today were all taken at Greenhill Cemetery in Waynesville, NC, yesterday. Like most small-towns across this country, the cemetery has a veterans section that is decorated with American Flags. Reading the headstones is a journey through history as you see so many wars referenced.

And, that in our mind, is what makes Memorial Day so powerful. Our heroes are not just at Arlington, but in small towns everywhere.

Our words are so inadequate, so we will just keep it simple.

Thank you. This day and every day – thank you.

God bless our soldiers, our country, and God bless us all. Hugs and kisses to the herd.
