Would You Trust This Pilot?

Because of the weight and size of an RV, the pilot has to be a safe, courteous driver. Not sure the current volunteer has the skills we are seeking.

reach the pedals

If only I could reach the pedals . . .

In addition to the demands of driving, a Herd of Huskies can be quite the vocal critics that can be distracting.

settle down

Alright, everyone, settle down!

watching the road

Oh. Am I supposed to be watching the road?

P.S. – This is the prime camp ground watching seat when the night shade is raised. These pictures are all from Sunday morning while Typhoon is waiting (not so) patiently for the Hu-dad to be awake enough for morning walks. Notice the lack of sunlight outside.

Valentine’s Hearts for the Herd Update

Screen Shot 2015-02-08 at 5.59.17 PM

With less than a week to go in the Valentine’s Hearts for the Herd contest, Qannik is in the lead with $184 and Typhoon at $154. Kiska has raisedĀ $124, Cheoah $119, Natasha $105 and Frankie $69. The real winner, of course, are the rescued animals you are helping to fund atĀ Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation.

This is your last chance to enter the contest as all Valentine’sĀ must be received by February 13 in order to be eligible for our drawing – a gift basketĀ fromĀ Smoky Mountain Dog Bakery!

Remember to mail your Valentine’s card(s) to your favorite member of The Herd (To: Dog’s Name, c/o The Thundering Herd, PO Box 1835, Maggie Valley, NC Ā 28751-1835). If you wish, you may also include a donation made payable toĀ Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation (who saved 1,231 dogs and cats in 2014 – over 3 animals every single day of the year – see this article for details).

You can find the profiles of each dog at these linksĀ –Ā Cheoah,Ā Natasha,Ā Qannik,Ā Kiska,Ā TyphoonĀ and Frankie.

I forgot – is it possible to do on-line Valentine’s? I don’t think I can get one there by the 13th! (there’s a USPS horse and buggy that serves our area).
