How to Spend Sundays

Cheoah and Frankie

Hu-dad took one look at us and asked, “Do you think I put this chaise lounge out here just for you two?”

But of course

But of course. Who else would it be for?

    Dear Thundering Herd and Family,

Thank you for taking the time to stop by Suka’s blog and write such kind words of sympathy after Suka’s passing. It meant a lot to me. Knowing that others care and understand, and reading your touching words, helps me in my grief.

Suka loved the Thundering Herd and reading of their fun adventures. They are a beautiful Pack and no matter where they were – at home, in the car, on a walk – Suka always enjoyed what they had to say/woof. Thank you for being a nice friend to Suka.

    Warmly,

    KrisAnne (Suka’s human)

I can’t believe the hu-dad would ask such a silly question. Does he not know you at all?

That is definitely the royal way a Husky should spend their Sundays! Love the pic!

Now if Rusty was on it, who would be his partner in crime? Does he have a buddy as well?

Great question. Cheoah and Frankie are, by far, the most inseparable pair. Frankie fancies himself a ladies dog, so he is as likely to hang out with Natasha or Kiska, but both get tired of his youthfulness. Cheoah eggs it on. He will play with Rusty and Qannik, but Rusty, with his age, is less interested in wrestling, and Qannik just never learned the doggie social skills to play well. For those same reasons, Cheoah prefers wrestling with Frankie because he most will put up with her body slams.

The other four – being much more similar in age – interchange and mix constantly. Far more like to find the four of them snoozing together in the sun. So Rusty can be found lounging with any of the three. Since Rusty was the first male in the pack and arrived a year after Natasha, QNTE has always had a soft spot for him and hangs around with him a lot. But Kiska, in her mothering role (there is very little maternal about Natasha) is always doing welfare checks on everyone. With Rusty’s medical challenges over the last several weeks, Kiska is usually found sleeping closest to him.

Sorry for the complicated answer, but so is life in a pack.

Thank YOU for the “complicated answer”. It answers many questions I’ve wanted to ask about the “Herd Dynamics”. Have been confused a few times about who’s male, and who’s female in the Herd, and this kinda straightens it out for me.

In age order of oldest to youngest –

          Male – Rusty, Qannik, Frankie

          Female – Natasha, Kiska, Cheoah

I think QTE hangs around Rusty for his good looks. Besides how can any husky or any one resist Rusty or his cute walking style?

    Well, that’s a silly question!

Awww so adorable. What great pics. If you guys move over to the edges a little more you could fit one more in. That would be an awesome pic. Lmao. Hugs and kisses to the herd.

    Surely not QNTE and Q-Tip!
