Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?
October 29, 2024
Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldn’t have been much worse.
Very cute bumper sticker. I often feel bad when I see dogs bring worked real hard e.g. Pulling a sled. Do you whether they truly enjoy working? I know it’s a silly question but I really wonder.
It is a great question and we get it a lot. All you ever have to see is the excitement on a dog’s face when the harness comes out and you know they love pulling sleds. As the human, our job is to take care of them, watch for injuries, and look out for their welfare. But, with the proper care, a sled dog can not think of anything more fun than pulling a sled. And, frankly, we can not think of a better way to spend time with our furry friends then doing what they love to do most.
I agree with you totally. My two Sibes are just “house pets”, but their “Gramma Deb” breeds, raises, and shows them, as well as recreational sledding, and the look of sheer joy on their faces as they’re out in the winter, pulling that sled, is something to behold!
Yes. How much do you get paid?
Qannik!!! Qannik, take it EASY! Don’t over do. Seriously. You’re making the rest of us look like slackers!

Oh yeah, you’re working hard!
Humph! – you really look like a working dog – and the temp is only 66F. You should try repelling a squirrel invasion in 100+F. It takes a really special dog to do that! POODLES RULE!!
Khwite the trained professional too…
Not all khan make it look this easy!

Just the thought of all this working has tired us out! 😀

Nope, no questions. Just working hard at hardly working, is all! That’s the kind of work me ‘n Ice like, too!
