Frankie’s 13th Herdaversary

We’re celebrating big at Chez Herd today in honor of Frankie’s 13th Herdaversary. How have so many years passed since his arrival?

Frankie Suave napping
Nothing like a good nap

Our calm, benevolent leader uses his mantle of seniority to get what he wants most—peace and quiet from his younger brothers so he can handle the important tasks of napping, eating, and taking twice daily walks. Frankie Suave might be a bit slower in step, but he keeps his routines.

A little privacy please?
A little privacy in the yard, please.

Other than the walks and his visits to the backyard, he prefers to spend his days sprawled on Hu-Dad’s study floor. That’s best location to spot the Hu-Dad going to the kitchen for a snack without bringing back something to share.

Those magical brown eyes
The brown eyes can get the Hu-Dad to do anything.

He did spend extra time outside supervising the humans in Hurricane Helene cleanup. The mighty walnut tree made quite the mess when it fell. Somepup had to oversee the work.

That Helene left plenty of debris in our yard

Don’t worry, though, Frankie reserved time for naps despite his hard work. Nothing like some alone time in the human bed. Of course, someone else decided that bed looked comfortable too.

Happy 13th Herdaversary, Frankie Suave!

P.S. – When Frankie came to live with us, he was young, but certainly out of puppyhood. At least a year, maybe two years old. Thus, he is roughly 15 today. Other than a few achy joints, he’s as healthy as can be. We celebrate every day.

Happy Herdaversary, Frankie! I am so happy to hear he is doing great as his age advances, but Lord knows I can sympathize with the achy joints!

He has always been such a good, sweet boy! I am trying to remember any stories of him being mischievous, but other than him ganging up with your “Otter” – Ms. Cheoah – to terrorize Typhoon from time to time, I cannot think of anything. For a Siberian, that is amazing!
