You never know when you need to shift from squirrel sentry to customs inspector, but Roscoe P. is at his post and ready for anything.
Roscoe’s favorite spot in the house is his observation post—a convenient window beside Hu-Dad’s desk so Roscoe can monitor both those pesky squirrels and the Hu-Dad in the event he tries to sneak out of the room without announcing his destination. Yesterday, though, Roscoe had to quickly switch hats and monitor the suspicious package being delivered. Good thing he was on the job because our fresh supply of Musher’s Secret arrived for paw protection from road salt.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
Good Boy Roscoe you just never know when those sketchy drivers are trying to sneak into the perimeter!!???
Roscoe has a very regal pose going on there. It looks like he knows a package is coming.
Musher’s Secret is the best!! I buy a big container and put some in smaller containers to keep in the trucks, just in case.. Finally found some new snow yesterday and it was really needed. So much FUN to get on all four paws!!
Laughing at putting Musher’s Secret on paws. We go from Frankie Suave who flops over on his back and raises the legs for easy application (yes, we call him Suave for a reason) to Landon / Boom Boom who is ticklish (of course he is) to His Royal Highness Little Prince Typhoon Phooey (no mere human shall touch my Royal Paws. Away with ye!).
So, yeah, we get it.
Roscoe P reminds me of our boy Bradley who is always on the job to announce(LOL) when there’s a delivery man at the door. I swear he knows a lot of the deliveries are for him and his fursister Sadie. Since Bradley is a husky mix he is also a great watchdog who just loves to run to the door and BARK at whoever is there with a package. Since he such a big boy a few have RUN down the steps of our porch when they see him running, WE have a full glass storm door which gives a full view of him bounding. He wouldn’t hurt anyone though if they DID get in the house!
Good job Roscoe P!!!!
