Our backyard project is moving along well, but faced a very tough inspection yesterday from the most critical member of The Herd.
The stonework on our backyard project is nearing completion, so the bulldozer spread dirt yesterday afternoon. His Royal Highness Little Prince Typhoon Phooey conducted a tough inspection and decided he was much more pleased with the loose mud than the stone. Someone is always a critic.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
Kind of pouty, looking at those stones in the middle of his mud…
Looks like the Little Prince knows the Humans will be spending more time in HIS yard now!!
Heads up! From past experiences living in cold, snowy, icy conditions in Alaska, upper Midwest, etc Those smooth flat stones will be a real walking hazard when they ice up! Have plenty of beach sand to throw on them in nasty weather conditions! The huskies may solve that problem with their earth and stone future moving operations! Enjoy the journey!
Hu-Dad-let’s face it-dogs LIKE mud and dirt rather than some stones(which are VERY nice by the way) I just love the look from the Little Prince eyeing up the stone work!
