The snow forecasted for earlier this week could only be described as underwhelming, a real challenge for a Little Prince who loves his snow diet.
December was unseasonably warm here with almost no hint of wintry weather. Our first forecasted snow came earlier this week with predictions from a dusting, to a few inches, to nearly a foot. Let’s call the actual result disappointing. We had maybe an inch or so of snow, but with the warm ground, it struggled to accumulate anywhere except shady areas. His Royal Highness Little Prince Typhoon Phooey might be a picky eater, but he loves munching away on some snow. As little as we got, he ate everything he could find as part of his snow diet.

Hurricane Hugo Memories
September 21, 2024
Thirty-five years ago, a massive storm hammered our region and left a path of destruction, leaving us with Hurricane Hugo memories.
“do what you can with what you’ve got!” he’s my hero in many ways.
I love you little Prince! xo
Not much snow so far this season for Ruby either. She loves to roll and slide as well as munch. Still waiting for the BIG one!!
WE also had some warm weather earlier this week but the snow we received on Monday was a mixture of about 4 inches of snow and LOTS of ice. Our boy Bradley doesn’t eat the snow BUT so enjoys laying on the back porch ON the snow!!! I don’t let him there too long because he has some back and leg issues so don’t want him to hurt.
Poor Typhoon-maybe you will het more snow to chomp on!
