Vigilant Sentry

Hu-Dad’s study offers the perfect vantage point for our ever-vigilant sentry, Roscoe P., to monitor the movement of evil squirrels.

The ever-alert Roscoe P.

Hu-Dad’s safety is our top concern. Well, getting fed is our top concern and he is the keeper of kibble. While he labors away at his busyness in his study, we surround him with our protective force (the humming sounds suspiciously like snores, but we’re alert). While the rest of us sleep stand guard, Roscoe takes up the window vantage point to monitor the plotting and planning squirrels that are busily taking up positions in the front yard. When the tree rat attack comes, our ever-vigilant sentry will sound the alarm. Don’t you feel safer?

By the way, one of our most popular posts searched for on Google is Squirrels for Peace. That post doesn’t feature a single photo of us. See how sneaky those tree rats are?

Keep up the good work Roscoe. Had trouble reading this due to Miss Ruby snoring so loudly after breakfast!!

Hu-Dad-this post today started my day with a chuckle!!! LOVE the part where I GUESS it was Roscoe P that crossed out the SLEEP and put put STAND guard in that sentence!!! I guess they need to make sure you are ever there with the KIBBLE!!!

Bradley was such a GREAT guard this morning(well maybe)because it’s only 30 degrees )and he just wanted to lie on the porch to keep watch BUT think it was just to get the cold air!

Roscoe issues an emphatic denial with his absolute best innocent Siberian Husky look. Ignore his snickering.

And, yes, he approves of this cold weather.
