Caption This: Open The Door

Frankie Suave seems a little surprised Hu-Dad is taking a photo rather than opening the door. Help us with this week’s Caption This.

Open The Door

Frankie Suave’s calm demeanor belies his expectations of the Hu-Dad. Meals are danceable occasions. Belly rubs must occur multiple times of day. Brushing of the coat is to be a long, slow, relaxing process. Space will be made for him in the human bed at night (or paw pushes will be involved). And open the door is not a suggestion. So imagine his surprise when he realized the Hu-Dad had stopped to take a photograph rather than handle his duties. The eyes say it all, so, Dear Reader, provide us your favorite comment in this week’s Caption This.

Perfect Jean! I was thinking the same. Frankie is upset Hu Dad has time to take a photo, while he languishes on the deck! Poor Suave!

A Shark Attacked My Best Friend

June 20, 2025 - In honor of the 50th anniversary of the theatrical debut of the movie Jaws, the film that was the inspiration for these events, D. K. Wall recorded the story in audio and video. The original story was posted on October 9, 2022.

A shark attacked my best friend when I was 11. His screams were awful. The silence that followed was worse. I was alone in the ocean.

Enjoy it your way
