After yesterday’s suggestions from readers, Typhoon decided to create even more distance from the dreaded brush.
In yesterday’s post, Typhoon expressed his disdain for brushing by moving to the opposite end of the deck from Hu-Dad. Our creative readers suggested many creative ideas, including plucking andâegads!âvideoing Ty screaming during brushing. These ideas offend the Little Prince. To protect his Royal Floof, he opted for even more distance from the brush by going into the yard.

Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?
October 29, 2024
Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldnât have been much worse.
My 2 Duffy Bottoms grump and growl when I pluck the loose “floof”. It’s soothing to we mere humans, highly annoying to our bosses. We get it Phooey. Being bothered when you’d rather not can cause all of us to retreat to the other end of somewhere! ??
My husky girl feels the same way. She is very vocal about it too!
Poor Prince Typhoon Phooey. I so wonder why he is so afraid of the brush? We as pet parents often wish we could actually talk to them and ask why they fear certain things. Since we cannot-I guess we do our best to keep them happy and MAYBE even brushed at some point Hu-Dad! Happy Valentines Day!
Our best guess is everything goes back to his digestive issues. When you don’t feel well, being touched isn’t great so brushing becomes awful. He can get brushed – gently – on his good days, but only for so long.
Oh Typhoon, Ruby agrees with you on the torture routine. Yesterday she opted to go outside and lay in the cold/snow for hours to avoid the devil (mom). Happy Valentines Day to you from her.
