Frankie Suave’s cool, calm approach and a particularly smooth move helped him beat his little brother in a little sibling rivalry.

Apologies to anyone reading Hu-Dad’s Facebook feed but you will have heard this story. Of course, we wonder why you are following him when we are far more entertaining. Plus we have many, many more followers than he does. Ha!

Yesterday morning, the Hu-Dad got out of bed while it was still quite dark outside. He does this all the time and we know exactly how to handle it. Roscoe and Typhoon slept through everything, Landon stretched out on the floor near Hu-Dad’s feet, and Frankie—being the big brother—claimed the human bed and fell asleep on Hu-Dad’s pillow.

Hu-Dad read until about 6 a.m. and time for our morning walk. He closed his book, stretched out his hands to Landon, and asked if he wanted ear scratches. Landon did the typical Siberian Husky thing by staying just out of reach, but Frankie scrambled out of bed, shoved his little brother aside, and stuck his head in Hu-Dad’s hands. Now that was a suave move to get ear scratches before anyone else.

Everyone got ear scratches and we went on our walk. Have a great weekend!
