Despite having lived in the new house for several months now, the dogs are still concerned about the suspicious water in the middle of our yard.
Our Hu-Aunt has a labrador who is a big fan of swimming. In fact, they can’t keep him out of the swimming pool. We Siberian Huskies, however, believe that water should come only in frozen form so we don’t understand the purpose of having a pool in the backyard.
So far, not a single paw has ventured into the pool. When the humans dive in and start swimming, we just yell at them about the dangers of splashing about in that wet stuff.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
Well…we do not want to get our feety- feet wet!!
In our house it was just the opposite! Cierra the Sibe loved swimming! Pools, creeks and her favorite was the lake! Maggie our labby hates water in any form other than to drink it! Go figure!????
Wise kids. They know they’re furry sponges. 😉
Hu-Dad-that must be SO funny when their “cousin” Labrador goes swimming and they watch and wonder! I would love to see a video of that!
