Last week, we shared photos of Frankie’s blanket nest he built from his gathered supplies. Cheoah demonstrates how to have joy without the work.
Last Friday, Frankie shared his blanket nest with out readers. He builds the napping by acquiring blankets from around the house and building a fluffy pile. It is certainly comfortable and well worth the effort.
Cheoah has the much easier path to comfort. She waits for Frankie to construct the comfort zone and then to wander off to do something. Then she claims it for her own. Ah, the best part of being the senior girl.

Hurricane Hugo Memories
September 21, 2024
Thirty-five years ago, a massive storm hammered our region and left a path of destruction, leaving us with Hurricane Hugo memories.
How perfectly devious of Cheoah! You go, girl!
Have you tried inflapotion from Glacier Peak Holistics? They are a small company out of Montana and I found them years ago and used for our elderly dogs instead of gluco (because my research showed that chondroitin which is most times found with gluco was not absorbed well in dogs). So I wanted to try something instead of wasting money on a gluco pill that was only half effective because of the other half not absorbing. It is herbs and I have not heard any bad reviews on it. I don’t get anything for suggesting it-I just love to do research on what things can make my dogs lives better. She looks so happy.
She does look quite content, as a princess should.
Just look at that happy face!!! Beautiful ????????
Cheez looks soooooo happy and a bit proud (ok, very proud). She sure is looking good these days. Thinking about her age gives me hope that our Redheaded girl will be with us for years to come, happy and healthy! I miss the Herd members who you’ve lost since I joined your pack, and I know last year was “ruff” for all of you. When we love these fluffy bottoms, the joy and giggles far outweigh the sorrow. So, keep outsmarting those brothers of yours Cheoh, they don’t even notice!????♥️????
We do try hard to focus on the positive in our posts, but Miss Cheesy scares us some days with her health. Her appetite comes and goes, her gait has become quite stiff, and some days she prefers sleeping over going on walks with us. But other days, mealtime is fun, she wants out in the yard, and she is eager for walks. We celebrate the good days and let her set her own pace on the bad.
as they said in the 80’s… ” YOU GO GIRL!”
What a happy girl she is. Cheoah does prove that age has its privileges. Beautiful girl.
LOOK at that smile from Miss Cheoah! How sneaky and yet wonderful of her to make the nest of blankets her own! She knows being a senior girl has it’s perks-lol!
