Sunny Sibes On A Winter Day

After a week of ice and sleet, we woke up to a chilly but clear day. Perfect for some sunny Sibes to gather on the deck for warming.

Sunny Sibes on the deck.

Sunny Sibes on the deck.

Let’s get the first and most obvious question out of the way – Typhoon was spending the morning under the Hu-Dad’s feet in the study. Everyone else, though, was bored with the Hu-Dad’s busyness and opted to go outside. When Hu-Dad wandered past the window to check on them, he saw their game plan.

So warm.

So warm.

Yes, we might be a nordic breed that thrives in cold, wintry weather, but there is nothing wrong with recharging our solar batteries.

Mom sez: Yes, Ebby does the same thing – sprawls out on our back deck, just at the top of the stairs, where she catches the sun for the longest period of time.
Aside from that, I have a question: for photos like these, how do you catch them all lying down, not moving, when you are zooming in on them with a camera? Nobody moves. We have tried to get pictures of our Sibes in poses similar to this, but the moment any of them have sensed a camera, they immediately leap into action, and the moment is lost.

Ahhhh that toasty sunshine on a cold day just warms up a tired Sibes bones.

They do look content. I think Cheoah likes when the boys hang out with her.

Of course the sibes love the sun once in a while. LOVE that Typhoon was hanging out with Hu-Dad while the rest of the herd napped away!!!
