Harrison Bay Boys

As we wrapped up our time in the S-RV in the Chattanooga area, we thought we would share the Harrison Bay Boys of The Herd.

Frankie Suave - First of the Harrison Bay Boys

We had a great long weekend at Harrison Bay State Park just outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Yesterday, you saw our official water dog, Cheoah, as she enjoyed the waters of the bay. Today, we share the boys who chose to stand on the beach and not get their paws wet.

I am not getting into that water.

I am not getting into that water.

We were asked yesterday whether normal Siberian Huskies like water. First, we should be clear that the phrase “normal Siberian Husky” is an oxymoron. Nothing about our breed is ever predictable or “normal.” But, with that disclaimer, we generally are not water dogs. If you think about our environment (icy cold climates), getting wet can only mean very bad things. On the other paw, our natural diet is very seafood based. Yep, that is our breed – contradictions to the core.

Siberian Huskies - Weird but lovable.

I hope the getaway greatly helped the healing process. You have so many lovely places to go in your part of the country.

Cheoah had a good plan getting in that water… keeping this crazy boys away. Could it be the one place where Boom Boom won’t bounce? ????
