Our evening walk was totally uneventful. Unless, of course, you consider rain colors and soaking wet humans and dogs to be eventful.
Hu-Dad has a running joke about our walks. The rain always falls the hardest when we are at the mid-point of our walk the furtherest away from the house. Last night was no exception.
Since the rest of his photographs featured wet dogs, we thought we would spare you that. Instead, we thought we would show off some the early changing colors.
If you look at some of the surrounding trees, you will notice a number of the leaves are starting to change. And the brush at ground level is beginning to brighten in fall hues as well. We did think the next photo sums up our entire adventure last night – and the mix of colors appearing.

Hurricane Hugo Memories
September 21, 2024
Thirty-five years ago, a massive storm hammered our region and left a path of destruction, leaving us with Hurricane Hugo memories.
And all those feeties to clean… 🙁
Yep – the rain never fails when you are in the middle of a good, long walk! Loved the fall leaf pictures! Thanks for sharing!
You all are just as adorable when you’re dripping wet as you are dry and fluffy!!
Doesn’t that always seem to happen? Take a walk and when does the heavy rain fall? Of course right in the middle! The changing leaves are starting to be so gorgeous. LOVE the Thundering Herd and look forward each day to the posts!
