Walks happen every night, but that doesn’t mean a Squawking and Walking Cheese Boom isn’t really excited to see it start every night.
After dinner, we watch the Hu-Dad carefully. When he walks in the direction of our hanging leashes, we start squawking and squealing our excitement for the nightly walk. But once the walk begins, we settle down for a quiet walk. Well, most of us do. Landon can get so excited that the squeaks never end.
By the way, we have noticed some red maple leaves on the ground the last few nights. This tree seems to be the culprit with some red leaves hinting to fall. Hu-Dad noticed that the tree has tar spots, a common and fairly harmless affliction to maples, so we are still a month or more away from more widespread color changes. Still, it’s a great reminder that fall is just around the corner (which means snow is not far behind and we Siberian Huskies LOVE snow).

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
Seeing a few “changing maple leaves” here too…we are in Western Massachusetts…hoping for the return of cooler evenings in August, and looking forward to the autumn winds+color!! Thanks for the beautiful pictures!!!
We have a river birch tree and when it starts to drop it’s leaves, we know autumn is on the horizon!
I always love seeing the scenery in your area.
Our Kori lives for walks! She doesn’t squeak though, our girls has this high pitch scream to show her enthusiasm on walks! Lol
(Soooo not ready for Fall yet! It has not been a good summer, we are hoping August will be better)
Wowred leaves already! No wonder the squeals were extended throughout the walk ????
Wow-what gorgeous scenery and I can understand WHY the dogs squeak(lol)-the nightly walks must FILL the air with the music of the Sibes!!!!
