We love when the oldest member of The Herd feels up to a Kiska patrol. We had the perfect evening for it and she was feeling energetic.
Unfortunately for Miss Kiska, her mobility just isn’t what it used to be. We have a well-balanced routine to manage pain, so we know she is quite comfortable whether she is sleeping inside or hanging out on the covered porch. But a walk around the entire perimeter of the yard requires a significant amount of exertion. Hu-Dad monitors her patrol, ready to assist if needed, but no assistance was needed last night. She completed the entire patrol and was quite happy with herself.
She wishes good thoughts for all the senior dogs among our readers. Salute.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
