Our Fall S-RV Beach Week has come to an end. After traveling home all day long yesterday, we can officially declare we are dog tired.
Woof! We pulled out of our campsite shortly after 8 am Sunday morning and got to Maggie Valley around 3 pm (the trip included refueling the S-RV and a bathroom break). And then we had to haul all of our supplies up the mountain to our house and unpack. All in all, that makes for a very long day and we were very glad to be home.
After some celebratory zoomies and wrestling matches, we ate dinner and settled in for a good sleep in our very own home beds. Of course, Frankie has to help the Hu-Dad fluff the covers – the best turn down service that any hotel could offer. Of course, Frankie then insisted he had fluffed the blankets for himself.

Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?
October 29, 2024
Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldnât have been much worse.
I’m sure after a long trip home, Frankie fluffed the blankets perfectly! I know the Huskie fluff and turn down service oh so well. It’s a race to get space on our bed every night. So far the Huskies are winning. After all, they are fast! Looking forward to living vicariously through your Herd and your adventures again soon!????????
I didn’t know or maybe remember it’s such a long haul to camp. Always good to come home. Looks like Frankie concurs.
We ended the week at Huntington Beach State Park in Murrells Inlet, SC, which is about 7 hours in the S-RV back to the house. We can only sing so many road songs in that time.
So glad youâre all home safe and sound.
