Siberian Husky House Party

Hu-Dad was hosting a house party for the Friends of the Haywood County Animal Shelter, but we weren’t invited to hang out inside with the guests.

Ooooh - a House Party!

Ooooh – a House Party!

Our county is building a brand new, state of the art animal shelter and a private group is raising some of the money. Hu-Dad invited some people over to the house last night to hear all about the shelter and how the privately raised money was going to be used.

Since we are all rescue dogs, we think this is a terrific cause, so we looked forward to welcoming our guests and sharing in the snacks that were being served. But – wait for it – Hu-Dad thought we might be a little disruptive inside. Something about we would be eating all of the snacks and being overzealous in our welcome to the guests. So our role was to hang around outside and smile to the guests – and not partake in all of those delicious snacks.

Our response:

Not talking to you, Hu-Dad.

Not talking to you, Hu-Dad.

Mom ‘n Ebby say: Maybe the Herd was left outside because you were expected to act as security guards, to make sure no unwelcome aliens invaded this serious meeting.

Thank you for your shelter work Hi dad. Now about getting the cold back from your Herd…it won’t last long. We get the same thing, only with a hefty helping of “side eye” from our blue eyed baby. If looks could kill….Get the treats out and you’ll be fine. It takes special guests to appreciate the Husky welcomes and table etiquette. Usually the non human type of guest????

Thank you so much for hosting a Friends party!! The construction is fully underway and we still have a lot of money to raise to get to our goal! Donate at http://hcasfriends.org/ OR sponsor a cat condo, dog kennel or other shown on our webpage. Thank you from the animals of Haywood County!

(Oh poo, no sharing?) I’ll bet the guests loved the herd.

So sorry to hear you were excluded from the party and treats but I imagine Hu-Dad thought you would be too distracting for the business he was involved with. After all, how could the guests talk about the important issue of the shelter
with the gorgeous, fun-loving Herd there receiving all the attention. Better you be seen from afar.

I’m on the wrong side of the border. I’m in Madison county . But when you can let me know me info about any fund raising, I’d be glad to donate to the shelter over the boarder in Haywood county.
