Our non-winter continues with yet more warm temperatures and lack of snow. Frankie spent the day under the Tree of Life pondering our weird weather.
Our forecasted temperatures next week are in the upper 50’s with absolutely no below-freezing temperatures at night all week long. Normally, we would expect snow on the ground and snow showers several times each week.
Our neighbors at the ski area have struggled to keep snow on their slopes because our temperatures aren’t even getting low enough to make snow at night. They have amazing snow making ability, but can’t change night time lows. And, worse, we have had several small wildfires break out in our county this week, much earlier than fire season normally starts.
The clock is running out, but we still have a little time for winter to hit. Come on, snow!

Hurricane Hugo Memories
September 21, 2024
Thirty-five years ago, a massive storm hammered our region and left a path of destruction, leaving us with Hurricane Hugo memories.
Mom sez: Yes, Frankie, it’s a weird winter, for sure. Hope you get your wish for at least ONE good “blizzard” before the spring comes!
I think the East and West Coast has swapped weather patterns. To me, we have had more rain and snow than we ever had in over 10 years! I hope you get some snow soon!
The weather is such an enigma Frankie Suave… you haven’t had much of a winter at all, but up north they’ve been pummeled! We here in SW Florida have had a couple of sweatpants kind of mornings but otherwise it’s been hot!!! Don’t give up hope yet sweetie pie !
We here in Michigan have had very warm temps. Yesterday it was 62. Next Wednesday is suppose to 63. Is this February or what? We haven’t had much snow either, but I think we have had more than you. Yesterday was the first time in months that I was able to sit outside for most of the day and it was so nice. I have had a cold 4 times and the flu twice since November. It was great to get fresh air, even if it is a freak thing lol. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Hugs and kisses to the herd.
