Our intrepid action hero, Typhoon Phooey, sets out on an epic adventure in a riveting search for winter in this week’s Film Friday.
Wednesday afternoon was warm and sunny. Wednesday night brought thunderstorms and plummeting temperatures. Sunrise was obscured by snow and 50 mph+ winds. Thursday was frigid, but very little snow on the ground. And Friday brings us warm and sunny. Our weather just can not make up its mind and we are missing winter! Time is running short, so Typhoon set out as our hero to solve the mystery of the missing winter. Our Film Friday follows his adventures:

Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?

Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldn’t have been much worse.
Mom ‘n Ebby say: We are amazed at Typhoon’s patience, sitting in one spot so long, while he’s waiting for winter to appear. First time for everything, I guess. Does this mean he’s actually “maturing”, I wonder? Though, at the end of the video, he does kind of revert to his usual “activeness”!
It has been a strange winter everywhere. Maybe March will be your month.
All I can stay to that is….must pluck that right hind leg! C’mere Typhoon!!!!!
Well I just can’t believe that Mother Nature refuses to cooperate with the Thundering Herd at Sibe Quentin!!! That’s just madness! Maybe she’ll relent at the last minute and offer up a nice white out!
