Yes, we had more rain. And, yes, more rain is forecast. We are all begging, “Rain, Rain, Go Away!” And we do it with a Film Friday.
The bad part is that we are not even really getting rain. Every day is cloudy, overcast, and misty, but we end up with only a few hundredths of an inch of rain, not quenching our drought at all. But, we are receiving just enough rain to make everything damp and nasty. The Herd is tired of the weather but try to make the best of it.
As Hu-Dad would say, we go in and out the door about eleventy-seven bazillion times a day to check if the weather is any better. We stand for a few moments on the deck, survey the yard, venture out for a few minutes, and then bang on the door to go back inside. And, a few minutes later, repeat the process. Hu-Dad appreciates all of the exercise he gets from us.
Today’s Film Friday is dedicated to our wet weather and our vocal complaints (so make sure you have your volume turned on for your co-workers’ enjoyment!). Hope you enjoy!

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
So sad to tell all of you….in the huge corn field of Iowa…we have SNOW….6 or 7 inches. It’s pretty and fluffy and might stay around for the rest of the week as temps will be in the low 20’s and 30’s. Wish you all were here…but then I’d have to keep you, I just love you all so much. Don’t think Hu-dad would like that. There’s a nor’easter coming down from Canada or I think it’s already here….but maybe it might make it over to your mountain and push the rain out. I know you love snow so I’ll pray for it, so you sibs can play all day in it. Have lots of fun…and Landon, keep on talking. I love it.
