Qannik’s Sparkly Smile and Good Health

Qannik greets the new day with a sparkly smile after receiving the best news from all of his medical tests. Now we just diet.

I will smile with my sparkly smile tomorrow.

I will smile tomorrow.

Fair enough. Qannik is not in a smiling mood, but he does have shiny white teeth. His lab results all came back perfectly normal, so we opted to go ahead and have his teeth cleaned yesterday (thus the sparkly description of those teeth). He also had a small growth on his eyelid removed since he was already under anesthetic.

Feeling the after effects of anesthesia.

Feeling the after effects of anesthesia.

So the good news is that Qannik is healthy as can be and his thyroid is normal, he is just a wee bit fluffier than he should be. The green bean diet has commenced and he is so excited about it.

Do I mention I had to skip breakfast for my dental, too?

Did you ever try just letting the dogs chew raw meaty bones? My german shepherds are on a raw food diet and the bones clean the teeth. No need to be put under to clean teeth (which in the long run is not good for humans or doggies). Or use coconut oil and a soft kids toothbrush to clean the teeth.

Mom sez: We put Ebby on the green bean diet about three months ago, and she looked like she was losing some weight, but now, her winter woollies are growing in, and she’s starting to look like she’s gained back everything she lost — but it’s all new “long johns”.

Skipped breakfast? That means a double helping of green beans!

I hope I never have to put Harlow on that diet – she’d rather starve! LOL!

Green beans – yum! Lol, do your humans add butter? 🙂

Glad to hear the good test results!
OK..the green bean diet is not a menu choice. The bright side, missing one breakfast is better than missing all breakfasts for a while. Wait, winter is coming. Don’t animals pack some extra pounds to keep warm during the cold months??? = )

Skip breakfast? THE HORROR….Did second breakfast at least arrive on time Q?

    • The Thundering Herd on November 10, 2016 at 10:06 am

No second breakfast ever arrived. My vet and my Hu-Dad actually joked that I could afford to skip a meal. Someone, preferably with food, save me! – Q

Good morning poor baby! Such great news from the Vet.! I really can’t wait to see those pearl whites though. I won’t even mention those silly green beans today ????????

Good morning Q and Herd. Koda and Hazel here. Q! Green beans diet and had to skip breakfast…the travesty of it all. No wonder you were wobbly, not just the anesthesia but malnourish huh.

Hope today is already better than yesterday.
