Introducing Landon, Newest Herd Member

So many of you guessed our little secret yesterday. Amazing! Yes, today, we are introducing Landon, the newest member of The Thundering Herd.

Landon

Landon

Landon came to us from Southern Siberian Rescue, which explains our trip east of Raleigh on Sunday. He is a three-year-old, fifty-pound boy and is settling into Chez Herd well.

Yes, Landon, sometimes Cheesewhiz blocks someone from the deck - just for the fun of it.

He has met everyone and is spending supervised one-on-one time with them, in addition to lots of long family walks. We take our time with introductions to watch the pack dynamics.

Mom ‘n Ebby say: Oh, what a handsome boy is Landon! And he already looks like he fits right in. I’m sure there’ll still be some “tuning in” as to where he fits in the hierarchy, but he looks like he’s starting out right, and is accepted.

We got our first Sibe, from SSR a few years ago and now we are totally devoted to the breed. Would love to start a herd of our own and will definitely add on sometime in the near future. Landon has landed in husky heaven with you guys and I know will be fun read about his adventures in Sibe Quentin and beyond.

He is striking. I love that fleur-de-lis marking on his face. It will be interesting to hear about the new herd dynamics. Typhoon looks like he likes being the pursued for a change.

  16. Koda Hazel and Sue VerSchneider on October 19, 2016 at 6:21 am

    Well good morning T. H.

Welcome Landon. You are just as handsome as your new brothers. Koda and Hazel think you look pretty cool too. We can’t wait to hear of more adventures as you begin you’re new life at the Chez.

And I’m sure there was a certain Queen Natasha guiding all of this. I swear they may have passed but Rusty and Misha guided Koda and Hazel to us because when we adopted them I was against it wholeheartedly. I was good with just the remaining one. Misha after Rusty but he guided us to Koda. Then as Misha was our first, that was it or so I thought. Of course Princess Misha had other plans from the bridge and then came Hazel.

Hugs to all the fluffy babies.

  18. Mizu on October 19, 2016 at 4:34 am

Now they have 3 black/white sibes, 1 has brown eyes, another has blue and another one has both >< XD. who can even resist those blue eyes 😀

  19. Susan McManus on October 19, 2016 at 3:31 am

Landon is gorgeous! I love his markings and that magnificent tail!! Who is older, Landon or Typhoon? Looks like Cheoah will have her paws full with all of these brothers. Kiska will have to monitor them closely so they don’t step out of line.
