After a warm September (and summer before that), we are excited that cool days and nights are coming this week to Chez Herd
True, Qannik, cool fall weather is perfect for napping. But isn’t that the same thing you say about hot summer days and cold winter days?
Regardless, our lows are in the 30’s and low 40’s for the next few days with highs in the 50’s. Absolutely perfect weather to make Siberian Huskies dream about the coming winter. Most importantly, we can think about that glorious first snow that should just be weeks away. Our kind of weather.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
Been a little while since I stopped by but just caught up (yes, on every entry since I was last here). Your Herd’s antics always bring a smile, and you do great video, too. Thanks for sharing your talent!
It cooled off some here and the effect was immediate. When it was time to go to bed, Leena thought that it meant it was zoomie spin time on the bed lol
Ahhhhh such sweet relief on its way for you fluffy kids ????
Ice’n Ebby both say: Sounds like the kind of weather we’re supposed to have. They’re predicting snow flurries for up here in the Peace Country of British Columbia for this weekend, too. (Ebby) is delighted, but (Ice) not so much. Too hard on my achy old bones. I’ll be spending a lot of time inside from now on, I’m thinking. Ebby can have the great outdoors.
