The giant grin on her face tells the story – Ruby loves entertaining guests that come to visit her, especially the Hu-Dad.
Hu-Dad traveled across the valley last night to visit the Hu-Grandmom and our cousins Tartok and Ruby. Ruby adores all of the attention during the Hu-Dad’s visit. They had quite the conversation.
Of course, Hu-Dad is also quite skilled in giving scratches (something about he gets a lot of practice with us back at Chez Herd). Ruby never complains if someone is willing to deploy their scratching skills on her.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
What a sweet, happy girl!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a shot of Ruby where she doesn’t have a giant smile
Awww Ruby you are an adorable hostess❤️
Mom, Ice’n Ebby all say: It’s so good to see Ruby and Tartok every so often. We seem to remember them from a long time ago. How old ARE they? They must be quite Senior Sibes now, too. They seem to both be so beautifully groomed all the time. Does the hu-Grandmom brush them every day?
Tartok is 11 years old. Ruby came to The Herd Annex in 2008, so we are not entirely sure, but expect that she is 9-10 years old.
