We often will interrupt Hu-Dad while he is working on his busyness in his study, but Typhoon is now creating the ultimate workplace distractions.
Oh, sure, Typhoon is quietly napping on the floor. He is not wrestling or running around or wreaking havoc. And, yet, he is distracting the Hu-Dad something terrible.
Look carefully before scrolling down and seeing the answer.
Ready?
Yes, Typhoon is molting. Or, as we Siberian Huskies call it, blowing coat.
What makes Typhoon even more fun is that he can not stand to be plucked. Or brushed. Or have our blower used on him. Yes, he prefers for the fur to just fall out naturally.
But humans can’t stand that. Something about all of that fur just makes them want to pluck, pluck, pluck.
And so the Hu-Dad is staring at Typhoon. And Typhoon is getting nervous.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
Sorry Ty a plucking of some sort is coming!
Just LOOKING at Typhoon’s TUFTS makes me want to PLUCK! It IS a distraction for sure.
Want to pluck! Need to pluck!
Eddie isn’t much of a fan of being brushed or plucked either, but he likes being scratched, so we can stand on the porch and I can vigorously scratch both hands up and down his sides to pull out gobs of the underfur. We’re in a slightly cooler climate, so I think he still has a few weeks until his spring shed properly starts up.
OH the temptation to pluck is just too great!! Look out Typhoon!! X X X X X
