First Snow of the Season – Sort Of

Nothing is more exciting to a Siberian Husky than the first snow of the winter season. Thus, when it started snowing Friday afternoon and continued through the night and all day Saturday, Hu-Dad was sure we would all be very excited.

Snow . . . at our next door neighbor.

Unfortunately, all of the snow was being made at our next door neighbors, Cataloochee Ski. The snow guns turned on around 4:30 Friday afternoon and have been running non-stop since. They are opening for the season Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m.

We are happy for our neighbors, but we are waiting for our own snow so that the Siberian Winter Games can begin.

Wake me when it starts snowing.

All you sibes can get together and sled dog one of those snow machines over to your house. I’m sure they won’t miss it. 😉
