Our weather is supposed to take a decidedly fall-like turn this weekend with even the possibility of frost in our forecast. Since that is perfect for lots of hiking and Siberian games, we are resting up for the weekend.
The leaves are slowly starting to change (the maples and ash leading the way), so our scenery will be brilliant with color in just a couple of weeks.
Believe it or not, our first snow should be less than two months away and the skiers will be back next door at Cataloochee Ski. Isn’t that awesome? Why do we hear so many humans groaning out there?

Please have Frankie pose a lot in front of the pretty trees!
Mom sez: It looks like fall could by-pass us completely here, and go straight to winter. Leaves are turning almost as we watch.
I like Frankie’s “Siberian doughnut” That’s how Ebby likes to sleep, too, where Ice sprawls out full length.
