Balancing Act

How many of you allow your pets on the furniture? You know, like on the couch? Now, before you answer that question, you need to understand the balancing act that Typhoon does when he is on the couch. And we do mean ON the couch.

Isn't this normal for a balancing act

Isn’t this normal?

Typhoon, that is normal only in your unique little universe. Though we admit that you do seem to be tempting your most well-behaved big brother, Frankie, with your “style.”

bad to the bone

Frankie may never come close to “bad to the bone,” but Typhoon?

And to continue a trend that many of our readers have noticed often happens in the background, notice Cheoah’s reaction to all of this.

Cheoah laughing

Yes, she is laughing.

I knew a toy poodle who liked to sleep on the couch top, but never a Sibe.
WOW! Typhoon is really unique!! How does he disembark?

Mom sez: At our house, the SiberKidz aren’t allowed on any furniture EXCEPT on our bed. (Dad’s” rule, not mine!) The same as you, our living room furniture is all leather, but still out of bounds. Ebby loves to come up on the bed and cuddle with me in the morning after Roy gets up, but Ice never did do beds, for sleeping on. Only for brief morning visits, then gone again. At his age now, he won’t even try anymore, though he still has no problem whatsoever jumping up into our van, then up onto the “doggy bunk” Roy built for travel many years ago when we had our Kiah. Just say the words, “ride in the van?” and he’s there like a flash.

When I had my husky Aries, he use to get on the back of the couch too and he would lay in the window and sleep there and watch everything out the window. We waited for him to accidentally push the screen out and fall out the window, but he never did. After Aries past over the rainbow bridge we got Bruce. We had Roxy before we got Aries. She was our matriarch. This April she past over to the rainbow bridge the day after Aries 4 anniversary that he past. Bruce was devastated. We really thought about getting another dog, but I just wasn’t sure. My husband had to go down to Fort Wayne to train a new rep and I went with him. We have friends down there and we paid the a visit. We came back with a new dog. Bruce is a 100lb German Shepherd. Penny our new dog is a 8lb dachshund. Can you picture that? She gets up on the back of any furniture. Oh and yes I do let them up on the furniture. We sleep with Bruce and yes he hogs up my side of the bed lol. Hugs and kisses to the herd.
