Responsible Party / Book of the Week

In a Herd of Siberian Huskies, being the responsible party is never particularly fun. When that Herd includes a Typhoon, it can be a total drag.

Quiet, peaceful morning

What a quiet, peaceful morning.

Frankie enjoys his quiet time on the deck every morning watching the sun rise and the rabbits scurry . . . just outside the fence.

Need to stir things up

Too quiet around here. I need to stir things up.

Unfortunately, Typhoon thinks quiet and peaceful are just not as much fun as chaos. What is the fun in quietly laying in the sun when a wrestling match can be found. And wherever there is a peacefully sleeping Cheesewhiz, a wrestling match can be created with a well-timed pounce.

correcting Typhoon

Am I really going to have to correct him for the eleventy-seven bazillionth time?

If you think Typhoon might settle down without prompting, you are clearly a new reader to our world. Typhoon lives to be a natural disaster area. And Cheoah lives to protest loudly at the injustice of it all.

the responsible party gets involved

When I get a hold of that boy . . .

Typhoon, of course, misbehaves up until the final second that Frankie corrals him and begins to lay down the law.

humble pleadings

Yes, sir. I know, sir. Won’t happen again, sir.

Notice Cheoah laughing in the background. Typhoon’s favorite game is creating havoc. Cheoah’s favorite game is getting Typhoon in trouble.

Book of the Week

Our recommendation this week is a very visual book, but it combines Hu-Dad’s love of dogs with the love of photography. The concept is very simple. Take dogs who love playing in water and photograph them. BUT, take the pictures from under the water. The end result is Underwater Dogs by Seth Casteel, a book that is about the visual experience, not so much reading. The book has an average ranking of 4.8 on Amazon and 4.4 on Goodreads.

Before I got all the at thru reading the blog, I saw the picture of Cheoahs face “cheesin” and was thinking “is she really laughing at Typhoon getting in trouble….that little stinker” lol. And I can picture a thought bubble over Ty’s won’t happen again sir as “not until you lay back down at least”. Lol.
