With both Cheoah and Natasha in their rehabilitation phases of TPLO recovery, we don’t have a lot of new news. Both are getting walks multiple times of days to strengthen the leg muscles around the injured knee, but also are still spending a lot of crate time in Hu-dad’s study.
Neither are allowed free-time with the other dogs where a fun wrestling match could end in a not so fun re-injury of the knee.
Natasha is handling her walks without any issues at all and is chafing to get back out in the yard. On the good front, Kiska often joins Natasha for her rehabilitation walks. We are hoping for some supervised off-leash time after her next x-ray in two weeks.
Cheoah, however, still has several weeks to go before she can expect off-leash time. All signs still point to a full recovery for both dogs.

Poor kids! My (half)husky just cleared week 12 of TPLO recovery herself and is very excited to have gotten the okay for supervised time free in the back yard. There’s a light at the end of the tunnel, Cheoah and Natasha!
It is a long process, but I am very glad to hear it has been going well xx
