As Natasha hasĀ her nine week anniversary from TPLO surgery, her walks are getting longer. We are approaching the time when she will return to free time in the yard with the rest of The Herd. Yesterday, she was back together with her sister, Kiska, for their first joint walk since surgery. These two have been thick ever since Kiska was adopted into The Herd back in 2006, so they quickly fell back into the rhythm of walking together.
Today, Cheoah has her six-week post-surgery x-rays done to determine whether she can lose the sling and begun her own recovery walks. We will all be very happy if she is able to start getting some much needed exercise. Update on tomorrow’s blog post.

Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?
October 29, 2024
Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldnāt have been much worse.
YEA!!!!! We sure hope things at the Herd get back to “normal”. Mom says that’s a relative term where Siberians are concerned. I have no idea what she means by that!
Y/s,
Maggie T.
Mom sez: Congratulations, ‘Tasha, you look SO happy, and so does Kiska. Just be a little careful not to over-do just yet, and as they say on the gambling commercials, “know your limit, and stay within it”! So WONDERFUL to see you back with the Herd again! Now, hoping Cheoah has the same results …………….
Kiska must be happy to have her bestie back. š Good luck with Cheoah – I imagine you will want her VERY VERY well before she is back with her boys! Whenever you have pictures of the two of them, there is a definite hole there with her name on it.
Congrats Queen Natasha. What great progress you are making. I will be praying for Cheoah to be completely healed so she can begin her walks to regain her strength. Hugs and kisses to the herd.
