Home Sweet Home

Natasha says there is nothing quite like Home Sweet Home. She was discharged from the hospital Tuesday morning and spent the day napping in the hu-dad’s study.

stop taking pictures.

I could nap more if the Hu-dad would stop taking pictures of me.

For the first several weeks, Natasha can only go out for very supervised bathroom breaks. Otherwise, she is spending the time with lots of crate rest.

excitement.

Sigh. How do I stir up some excitement?

The rest of The Herd was crated for Natasha’s return to the house. As she was carefully escorted by the Hu-dad to the wall of crates, she took the time to growl at each member of The Herd. Her way of saying, “I’m back. Didn’t you miss me?”

Later, while she was napping in the den (yes, Hu-dad has crates set up in every key room for Her Highness), song time broke out from The Herd. Natasha woke up enough to join.

Song of my people

The Song of My People!

Thanks again for all of the well wishes. We really appreciate all of the good thoughts.

Mom ‘n Ice sez: Nothing like a warm welcome home set to “Sibersong”! Nice that she joined in. “SomeSibe” is going to be SOOO spoiled by the time this over, she’ll be more demanding of her herd than she ever was!

We wish you a speedy recovery. Out of curiosity, how many crates do you have in your house?

    • D.K. Wall on September 17, 2014 at 6:23 pm

We have 13 crates through the house – 6 outside on the covered porch; 6 inside the bedroom; and 1 that is normally in the Jeep but can be maneuvered wherever we need it.

You know what, I bet you could make a whole album of songs while you’re on restricted duty! Some good music for Hu-dad to work to!

Hello Natasha! I personally have always felt that my convalescence is substantially helped by the hand feeding of Morbier cheese. It is a well known fact that the hand feeding of fine French cheeses has remarkable restorative powers on the canine constitution. Get well soon! My humans and I wish you a speedy recovery.

    Speedy recovery.

So happy to hear the queen felt well enough to growl at everyone…just like our Jessy girl. Glad to hear the healing has begun. It will be a long haul, but before everyone knows it, the queen will be back on top…not that she won’t be able to take care of business from the crate! Best wishes.
