Like all great canine households, we have our routines. Â One of those is that all dogs sleep inside at night (for safety because of the wild animals we have). Â Of course, there is always a debate about when the bedtime protocol begins.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
Harlow and Monty usually want to go to bed about two hours before we want too. Unless we eat a late dinner, and then they are more than willing to stay awake.
Monty and Harlow
We have our routines too, and I find it so interesting how dogs do not like their routines interrupted! lol
It’s funny, my huskies know their bedroom so well, they could do it with their eyes closed! Out for a pee, come in, get a bedtime treat, wait till I do my thang in the bathroom etc…as soon as I come downstairs they go right to the bedroom door and wait patiently till I open it….then they go in, and lay down immediately! Ahhhhh, bedtime!
