Lovely Weather for a Walk

After a sunny, perfect day on Saturday, the weather forecast for Sunday was cloudy with rain starting around 6 pm. So, of course, we went for a walk on the closed Blue Ridge Parkway around noon – only to be met with fog and rain. Shrug, we just got wet!

Q

Qannik was, once again, walking with Frankie and Cheoah.

between

Which meant that young Typhoon was walking between Natasha and Kiska.

between the legs

Well, when he wasn’t walking between hu-dad’s legs like Rusty always did.

lovely weather for a walk

Lovely weather for a walk, though. Well, as long as you are a Siberian Husky.

If you don’t mind me asking, what do you do when you get home with six damp dogs? Do you have a mudroom? Are they allowed in the house?

Depends on a lot of things. If they are coming straight inside the house, then lots of towels are used! They also have large covered porches that protect them from rain and where they like to spend a lot of their time. And, if you are Qannik, you like to go sit in the rain! Everyone sleeps inside at night. During the day, for the most part, The Herd comes and goes but prefers those porches.

I actually think that IS lovely walking weather. Yesterday I was walking the girls on icy roads in a light snow. There was NO ONE out, and it was absolutely wonderful (minus the two near wipe-outs when I hit ice patches). Much better than beautiful weather when everyone and their dogs are out! 😉

I knew there were going to be lots of reasons to like Typhoon! Are Natasha and Kiska working on teaching him some manners, then?

Yes, much to their chagrin, Natasha and Kiska have been asked to help focus The Little Prince on our walks.
